Lines & Wires
Foundation course from 10 years
Experience the feeling of total balance
Practising balance is about controlling your breathing and tension, facing fear calmly and accepting standing in the centre with the wind in your hair. An experience for everyone ages 10-115, regardless of training background. Slackline walking is not very physically demanding, and most people can learn.
On the Lines & Wires course, we practice walking on slacklines with a balance pole. Slackline is a flat line stretched between two points, for example, trees, rigging points or ladders. The lines we use are about 3 cm wide. You start balancing at a low height and gradually work your way higher and higher as you feel more secure. At most, we walk at an altitude of 2 meters. To help you, you have a balancing pole of approximately 3 meters. If you lose your balance, you hit the floor with your pole and thus avoid falling.
Age: from 10 years, no upper age limit.

Tightrope walking
There are many different types of lines, ropes and wires you can walk on: high, low, tight or slack. Many use long poles to help maintain balance. Balancing on a rope is often combined with acrobatics and dance.
