Discipline – Teeterboard
What is Teeterboard?
Teeterboard is a circus discipline that can be experienced up close and from a distance. In it, the artist is propelled into the air to heights of up to 10 meters.
At least two people are needed to jump, and there are two ways to get the acrobats into the air: tictac and High Jump. In Tictac, the acrobats start on the springboard, leap, and are propelled into the air alternately to land back on the board. In High Jump, two acrobats jump down simultaneously from a platform, providing more force to the third person on the springboard, who is propelled into the air and lands on a mat.
What is needed for Teeterboard?
- The surface must be completely horizontal, stable, and non-slippery.
- Thick mats are attached around the springboard, and movable thick mats are placed afterwards.
