One production, one process

How a book about feminism and the Bible became a hit

In her book Guds olydiga revben (”God’s disobedient Rib”) we tag along with Gunilla Thorgren as she reads the Bible wearing feminist glasses. With a large ensemble consisting of both circus performers and actors, this drama is shaped through words, acrobatics and music.

We created a circus opera based on the life of Gandhi and received standing ovations

Cirkus Cirkör's collaboration with one the greatest composers of our time, Philip Glass, resulted in a circus opera that journeyed from Stockholm to New York. In Cirkör, Philip Glass found his circus, and together we wrote Circus Days and Nights

Tilde Björfors and Cirkör

Tilde Björfors is Cirkus Cirkör’s creative director, with over 25 years of experience in the industry including creation, performance, education and management. During her outstanding career, Tilde has been the driving force behind establishing contemporary circus as an art form in Sweden.
