Biography

Johanna Gorzellik found the circus as an eight-year-old at the local youth circus in Germany.

Johanna was educated at Stockholm University of the Arts but has also studied psychology at home in Germany in parallel. In addition to Cirkus Cirkör, Johanna has performed and taught at Circus Waldoni, ZipZap Circus School in Cape Town and at the Lurupina Circus Festival in Hamburg and Circa in Auch.

"I like to see circus as a relational arts practice. Thus, for me, a central and very important aspect of circus is the relations between different humans and between humans and objects. "
