What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user's computer by the user's web browser while the user is browsing. Cookies are created when you use your browser to visit a website that uses cookies to keep track of things like your movements within the site, help you resume where you left off and remember your registered login.

Cirkör use two types of cookies, functional cookies and performance cookies:

  • Functional cookies are cookies that are necessary for functions on the website to work. Without these the website cannot be used as intended. These cookies collect anonymised information (no link to your identity can therefore be made) and they cannot monitor your movements on other websites. They are only stored for the duration of the session and therefore belong to the session cookies category.
  • Performance cookies. These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how the website works.

Why does Cirkör use cookies?
Cirkör may implement a “cookie” (alphanumeric identifier) on the hard disk of the internet user with the aim to track movements and recognising the user when he or she visits the website to improve the the site.

We use Google Analytics to analyze how our users utilize the website. The cookie collects information about your usage (traffic data including your IP address), and it’s transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. You can turn off cookies from Google Analytics here: Opt out!

Please remember that as an internet user you may oppose the registration of "cookies" on your hard disks by configuring your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla, etc.) in this respect.
